Privacy Policy

SeeFor Teknoloji A.Ş. ("SeeFor", "we") cares about your privacy. This policy explains what data the SeeFor app collects, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Data we collect

Account: your email address (for passwordless sign-in links). We never store a password.
Trip preferences: origin/destination, dates, budget, pace, travellers, interests, language and currency.
Generated plans: the AI-built itinerary, hotels you pick, steps you tick off.
Location (optional): only if you enable "Auto check-in", only while the app is open; your location is compared on-device and never sent to our servers.
Technical data and crash reports: device model, operating system, app version, error details and timing/cost metrics of AI calls (without personal content). When the app crashes or an error occurs, a report is sent without your identity through Sentry (EU data region); it contains no name, email address, IP address, location or message content. Reports are sent only after you accept this policy (on the Turkish interface, together with the consent to transfers abroad).
Usage data (optional, only with your consent): if you turn on "Help us improve the app", we record which features are used in our own database, linked to a random pseudonymous ID rather than to your name or email: the steps of the plan wizard and the step where it was abandoned, plan generation time and outcome, saving, sharing and adapting plans, viewing the Pro page and purchase steps, taps on booking links, searched and planned places (city or country code only), opening plans (as owner, member or visitor) and Explore, and finishing onboarding; each event is stored with platform, app version (including the update ID), interface language and a random session ID. We never collect location tracking, contacts, advertising IDs, message content, text you write or sensitive data, and we do not track you across apps or websites. This option is off by default; you can turn it on or off at any time in Settings.
Plan feedback (optional): the thumbs up/down you give at the end of a plan, the reason you pick for "This stop didn't work" (closed, too far, didn't like it, other) and any short note you add; stored with your account to improve plans.
Public plans and profile page: when you make a plan "Public", the plan (its name, cover, day-by-day stops and times, summaries) is visible to other users in Explore and, on the seefor.app website, to anyone who opens the link, including people without an account or the app, together with your name, username and profile photo. If you have a username, your profile page at seefor.app/u/<username> shows your name, username, profile photo, one-line bio, hobbies and public plans. "Friends" and "Only me" plans are never shown on the website. When you change who can see a plan, the website updates within a few minutes; social networks and messaging apps that already fetched a link preview may keep their own copy longer. Public plan pages may also be listed by search engines in the future.

2. Why we process it

To build your hour-by-hour itinerary (performance of contract).
To show flight, hotel and ticket options.
To sync your account and plans across devices.
To show the plans and profile details you make public in Explore and on seefor.app (performance of contract; you choose the visibility and can change it at any time).
To keep the service secure, fix bugs and crashes (including crash reports) and monitor costs (legitimate interest).
To improve plan quality using your plan feedback (legitimate interest).
To improve the app using optional usage data (your consent; you can withdraw it at any time in Settings).
To meet legal obligations.

We never sell your data. To run the service we rely on these sub-processors:

Supabase (Frankfurt, EU): database, authentication, server functions.
Anthropic (USA): generation of itinerary text. Only trip preferences and the place list are sent; your email is not.
Google Maps Platform (USA): places, maps, transit times and photos.
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.; data stored in the EU data region, Germany): crash and error reports, without your identity.
Cloudflare (USA; data centres worldwide): serving the seefor.app website and the public plan and profile pages; these pages are cached in its data centres for at most 5 minutes.
Booking providers (Aviasales, Booking.com, GetYourGuide, etc.): when you tap a link you go to their site; payment and personal data are handled there under their policies. SeeFor never sees your card details.

Usage data and plan feedback are never sent to any analytics or advertising company; they are kept only in our own database on Supabase. We analyse them only as aggregate counts; notes you add to feedback are read only by our team and never sent to AI providers.

Transfers outside your country (EU and USA) happen through these providers with appropriate safeguards.

4. Retention

Account data: as long as your account exists.
Plans and preferences: until you delete them or close your account.
Plan feedback: until you delete it, the plan is deleted or you close your account.
Usage data: up to 13 months; deleted immediately when you delete your account.
Crash and error reports: up to 90 days at Sentry.
Technical logs: up to 12 months.

5. Your rights

Use Settings → Delete account in the app to permanently erase all your data. You can withdraw your usage data consent at any time with Settings → Help us improve the app; withdrawing does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. You also have the right to access, rectify, port and object. Contact: privacy@seefor.app.

6. Children

SeeFor is not directed at anyone under 16; we do not knowingly collect children's data.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Third-party API keys live only on the server, never in the app. Row-level access control ensures each user sees only their own data and content others have shared with them or made public.

8. Changes

We notify you in the app when this policy changes and ask for renewed consent when required.
